Below are the Nominating Committee's responsibilities:
The 2024 Nominating Committee helps choose the next Treasurer (Presidential Line) and two Members-at-Large (Board Members, non-presidential line). We look for applicants from all practice types (academic, private practice, military, hospital employed) who uphold our mission statement in line with our strategic domains of diversity & inclusion, professional development, membership, research, and organizational excellence. Eligible members are active and candidate members in good standing (dues fully paid). The time commitment is minimal: 2-4 hours to review applications and 2-4 hours to conduct interviews for candidates. Nominating Committee: The Nominating Committee shall consist of the immediate past president and four (4) voting members chosen at-large by the membership of the Society entitled to vote. The elected members shall serve for terms of one (1) year. The immediate Past President shall serve as Chair. The Nominating Committee shall seek and recommend diverse qualified candidates to the voting membership for action as outlined in the Society’s Policy Manual.
